Desde marzo de 2020, todos nos vimos encerrados por la pandemia. Confinados, pero esperanzados, muchos decidieron usar este momento para optar por la vía del emprendimiento.
“La nueva normalidad”, es la frase que define esta etapa de incertidumbre, ha caracterizado la nueva actitud de las personas frente al nuevo orden mundial. La excusa que muchos buscaban para atreverse a algo nuevo.
Con las calles vacías, pero el internet saturado de información, el contenido que muchos crearon se dispersó. Entre la inmediatez y los algoritmos mucha información quedó en el olvido. Pero no para el proyecto de Cuarentenismo.
Con un nombre que habla por sí solo, Cuarentenismo es una galería de arte que se fundó durante el encierro como acto de resiliencia y creatividad.
En colaboración con dos amigas, María Alejandra Valle (Barcelona, España) y Ana Laura Gomes (Caracas, Venezuela) y yo, Alejandra Herrera Mutti (Caracas, Venezuela), creamos este espacio que ha servido como ventana para todos aquellos que tienen algo que mostrar. La idea surgió en una simple conversación con las muchachas, donde hablamos sobre lo genial de crear una ventana para mostrar lo que nuestros amigos estaban haciendo. Rápidamente, comenzaron a llegarnos trabajos de muchísimas personas que nos expresaban agradecimiento por haber creado este espacio.
Nuestra premisa es que“todos los formatos son admitidos” y “todos los creativos son artistas”, y los seguidores apoyaron el desarrollo de la cuenta entregando sus proyectos.
Bajo el concepto RGB, Cuarentenismo ha servido de apoyo para muchos creativos alrededor del mundo.
Since March 2020, we were all locked in by the pandemic. Confined but hopeful, many decided to use this moment to choose the path of entrepreneurship.
"The new normal", is the phrase that defines this stage of uncertainty, and has characterized the new attitude of people to the new world order. The excuse that many sought to dare something new.
With the streets empty, but the internet saturated with information, the content that many created was dispersed. Between immediacy and algorithms, much information was forgotten. But not for the Cuarentenismo project.
With a name that speaks for itself, Cuarentenismo is an art gallery that was founded during the confinement as an act of resilience and creativity.
In collaboration with two friends, María Alejandra Valle (Barcelona, Spain) and Ana Laura Gomes (Caracas, Venezuela), and myself, Alejandra Herrera Mutti (Caracas, Venezuela), we created this space that has served as a window for all those who have something to show. The idea came up in a simple conversation with the girls, where we talked about how great it was to create a window to show what our friends were doing. Quickly, we began to get the works of many people who expressed gratitude for having created this space.
Our premise is that "all formats are admitted" and "all creatives are artists", and fans supported the development of the account by delivering their projects.
Under the RGB concept, Cuarentenismo has served as a support for many creatives around the world.
